I wasn’t expecting much when I first considered staying at Largoville Resort (라르고빌리조트), but I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality and stunning views. Check-in was smooth, with a friendly staff member greeting me at 3 PM. The warm welcome set the tone for my stay.

What is the room quality and cleanliness like?

The rooms at Largoville are surprisingly spacious and well-equipped, which is a big plus for any traveler. Each room includes cooking facilities, good for those who prefer to prepare their own meals. Cleanliness is clearly prioritized; everything felt fresh and tidy upon my arrival.

I particularly liked that both the Harbor House and Terra House offer floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing for breathtaking views of the West Sea. The large terrace in the Terra House provides an excellent spot to unwind and soak up the sunset. there are 24 rooms in total across both buildings, so booking ahead is advisable. You might feel differently though.

Is the location actually convenient?

Largoville Resort sits on Ganghwa Island, which offers a peaceful retreat while still being accessible. The resort is conveniently located near Ganghwa Nadeul Coast Trail course 7, making it ideal for walking enthusiasts looking to explore nature trails nearby.

What struck me was that if you’re driving, parking is available on-site, which alleviates concerns about finding space in busy areas. For public transport users, it’s best to have your own transportation as bus routes may be limited on the island. Just a heads up, you might want to plan your visit during daylight hours since some spots can be less populated after dark.

How does the price compare to what you actually get?

The cost of staying at Largoville Resort is quite reasonable given its amenities and location. Prices typically range around ₩100,000 (about $74 USD) per night, depending on the season and room type. This includes access to all facilities like the outdoor swimming pool fed by natural bedrock water from deep beneath the sea.

Not going to lie—the price felt a bit steep compared to local standards, but considering the spacious rooms and wonderful sunset views from the lawn, I found it worthwhile. Just remember that meals aren’t included; however, there’s on-site dining available if you’d rather not cook.

Who should (and shouldn’t) book this place?

However, if you’re after nightlife or an ultra-busy tourist atmosphere, this might not be your scene. Ganghwa Island has its charm but is quieter than urban centers like Seoul or Incheon. If you prefer vibrant city life with endless entertainment options, consider other accommodations closer to those areas.
