Geumgang Recreational Forest operates its arboretum from March to October from 09:00 to 18:00 and during winter months from 09:00 to 17:00. Admission fees are quite reasonable: adults pay ₩1,500 (about $1.10 USD), teenagers ₩1,300 (about $1 USD), and children just ₩700 (about $0.50 USD). Keep in mind that it’s free for preschoolers (ages 6 & under) and seniors (ages 65 & over).
Parking is available on site but note that fees differ depending on vehicle size — compact cars are ₩1,500 (about $1.10 USD), while larger vehicles may go up to ₩5,000 (about $3.70 USD). If you’re driving, it’s convenient since free parking is available if you’re staying at one of the forest cabins.
The only downside is that parts of the forest close on certain days — specifically, the first Wednesday of every month for the arboretum and museum. So check ahead before heading out!
