상세설명-Summary
‘나무 향기가 피어오르는 집’이라는 뜻을 지닌 목향재는 한옥 체험 펜션이다. 아파트 단지로 둘러싸인 대로변에 쉼표처럼 자리해 있다. 낮은 흙담이 둘러쳐진 정원에 들어서면 고풍스러운 2층 한옥 건물이 손님을 맞아준다. 목향재는 굵은 홍송으로 대들보와 기둥을 받쳐 궁궐식으로 지은 한옥이다. 다소 웅장하면서도 아늑한 느낌을 주며 서까래가 나무결 그대로 드러난 천장과 한지를 바른 미닫이문이 전통 한옥의 운치를 더한다.
객실은 혼자 혹은 두엇이 머물 수 있는 한실, 다락방과 침대가 있는 일반실, 거실과 다락방, 넓은 한실을 갖춘 디럭스룸으로 구성되어 1인 여행객부터 가족 단위 여행객까지 편안하게 머물 수 있다. 객실과 거실 곳곳에는 주인장이 쓰던 전통 장식장과 나무뿌리로 만든 묵직한 원목 테이블이 놓여 한옥의 멋을 거든다. 만화책과 그림책을 구비한 다락방은 아이들이 특히 좋아하는 공간이다. 징검돌이 놓인 한옥 앞마당에는 봄이면 산수유, 목련, 앵두나무가 소담하게 꽃을 피워낸다.
목향재는 한옥 펜션과 함께 전통찻집을 운영하고 있다. 차를 즐겨 마시는 중국인 남편 덕에 자연스레 찻집을 열었고 차는 대부분 중국 현지에서 직접 가져와 쓴다. 보이차, 홍차 등 수십 종의 전통차와 간단한 다식을 맛볼 수 있다.
